As the war in Ukraine continues to escalate, the extent of the catastrophe and the inconceivable suffering cannot be put into words. According to UNHCR, almost four million Ukrainians have fled to neighbouring European countries to date – and the unreported figures are probably much higher.
The MEYRA Group, based in Germany, has initiated relief measures alongside its business partners in recent weeks. On Tuesday evening last week, a truck packed with 140 wheelchairs began its journey from the company headquarters in Kalldorf to our partner company, MDH in Poland. From here, the wheelchairs will be given to aid organisations on the Polish-Ukrainian border for distribution to refugees as they make their way from the country.
